This family had the coolest place! Animals galore, and loads of room to run and play. I love shoots where the first shot out of my camera literally makes me swoon! A brief tender moment between siblings...perfect!

Quads!

What a lucky girl I am! I had the opportunity to photograph 5 gorgeous girls this weekend (yup, 5 girls! lucky for dad the dog's a boy!). I can't wait to photograph this bunch when they're a bit older too. You can see their personalities in the images (well, all of the images I have!) and I can't wait to see them emerge!

Peek a Boo!

It's that time again! I got to try the most magical place this weekend for a shoot. It's one of those tucked away places that you wouldn't know was there until you stumbled upon it. Such amazing light!

Here are a couple from the "secret" location! I'll post some more once I get knee deep in the proofing of this session, but I wanted to toss a couple up there to get you excited!

You may remember this cutie from her shoot about 6 months ago. You can see HERE how big she's gotten! I think she had a good time running around today!

Fun in the sun

Grabbed my old camera (a Rebel XT) yesterday to capture the beautiful blue skies and fluffy clouds! Used the "dreaded" kit lens just because it was handy and easy. All taken at ISO 100 varying shutter speeds and focal lengths (17-28mm I think).

Lil' Teaser!

Just a quick peek for A, D and little M. Had a great time on Saturday! Who doesn't love a good snuggle? What a cute little chunker!

All for me...

Because I can take pictures for my own enjoyment too! :) This fence at my mom's house is so cool. I had a vision in my head for this shot, and it looks pretty close! The only thing that would have made it perfect is turning fall leaves. Maybe in another couple of weeks we'll try again (wink, wink!). And MAYBE it'll be cool enough for a sweater...and jeans! How fall-ish! Go figure!

This one has a special treatment on it. Called a tilt shift (which is a band of selective focus on a special lens) and it also has some texture added to it...makes it kind of look like a painting!

Holiday Deadlines

I know that in the "real" world (ie, not the photography world!) you all will not need to start thinking about the Holidays until after Halloween. However, this is the busiest time for many photographers, and the labs that serve them.

In order to have your order guaranteed by Christmas, your session MUST be completed by the 17th of November, with orders filed by the 30th of November. I have just a handful of sessions left within that timeframe! So if you've been dragging your feet thinking about sessions to give as gifts, drag no more!
