This is so fun! I love having something new to blog about :)

I am to list 5 of my favorite things:

1. My hubby and baby E.
2. My family (including my fur babies).
3. Photography and all things photography related (I could seriously look at other photog's sites all day long).
4. Good food (yes, I LOVE to eat, and especially fresh, local things...mmm strawberries!)
5. Warm breezes on perfect summer nights (like last night) and "window weather" :)

Officially Branded

Whew! What a week! I have now officially "branded" my business. Which means, I have done all the legwork, and have brochures, new cards, packaging, etc etc etc! And it all matches and is super fabulous (if I do say so myself!). A few more things to work on and I'm golden. I am about to get an upgrade to the 5d baby! I made up my mind :) Just need to wait for B&H to reopen... I will be back before friday with June's special (I completely missed may...sorry!). Oh, and if you're looking at logos/card designs, give Erica's page a looksee...she was wonderful to work with, and I LOVE my stuff!

I am supposed to share 5 reasons I blog. Sorry if some of these are repeats, there are only so many reasons! Hee hee.

1. I LOVE to look at others' photography. It inspires me. In this way, I hope I insipre some of you!

2. 2 words...free advertising :)

3. I get to share client photos more quickly than waiting for the proofs! Whoopie!

4. I get to keep everyone up to date on what is going on (well, not so much lately, but I'll be back, I promise!). I'm just as bad lately with the family blog...ugh.

5. Willowdawn's right, it is a great way to document my growth and the growth of my business :)

Forgive me!

If I even have visitors anymore, please forgive my absence! I have been so incredibly busy lately! Good I know, but bad for the poor little blog :)

New news! I have a new logo (yes, again). I wasn't happy with the squares I designed. The lovely Erica Hernandez whipped up one for me, and I lurrrrve it. I have also been hard at work designing new welcome packets, and updating the website (and other boring business related stuff).

9 months

Just one for now of my daughter's 9 month shots. She is SO fast (doesn't hold still for a second) that I didn't capture what I had in mind, but she is so darn cute...and I can do reshoots at my leisure :) I'll post more when I'm done proofing client sessions. Oh, and I *officially* don't like the "save for web" feature in photoshop...or maybe I'm doing it wrong. This is not grainy at all in real life!

Some like it hot!

I photographed this gorgeous couple this weekend. I love the grain in this image (I tend to like grainier b/w anyway). I know her right side is hot (their left sides were melting with the lit fireplace!), but I really love this image, and hope they will too! So M & M, here's your sneak peek! :)

Fun with "stuff"

I'm participating in a weekly assignment with some other photographers, and this week's assignment was "creative angles." Here's my new favorite "thing" shot (my old favorite was an old bean poler (farm equipment) abstract taken with my ancient minolta film camera (no longer with me...gosh was that thing heavy!).

You remember back in grade school...tag, you're it! Same thing, but blog style. I've been tagged, so I've got to share 5 "weird" things about myself!

1. I have to sleep on the side of the bed closest to the door, and I like to sleep with the door open. I also have to have some sort of covers on, even if it is hot out.

2. I drink my coffee (hot or cold) with a straw :)

3. I loathe the sound of chewing (like my hubby crunching grapes right now in my ear)...it just drives me nuts! Of course I make noise when I chew, but I can't hear myself!

4. I like my neighbors (really!) We have a great n'hood, with friendly, fun neighbors who like any excuse to throw a party.

5. I eat my veggies first. One of those weird holdovers from childhood. I always ate them first to get it over with. I actually like veggies now, so it isn't because I don't want to eat them anymore, it is just habit!

I think I'm pretty normal, but normal is relative :) He hehehe. Now it is my turn to tag someone!

Oh, and in case you're all wondering (because I KNOW you are) here's a snapshot of me that my DH took...so this (hence the flash and out of focus-ness) is what I look like.
